Abstract
One of the most familiar equations for examining the properties of infiltration in unsaturated regions of soil like a porous media is known as Richards' equation. The main aim of this paper is to illustrate the behaviour of the water transport problem in unsaturated soil. The Variational Iteration Method and the Modified Variational Iteration Method have been used to determine an approximate analytical solution for Richards Equation in different cases. A comparison of the solution has been made with the exact solution, Finite Difference Method, and Elzaki Adomain Decomposition Method (EADM) solutions. For the numerical and graphical representation, MAPLE and MATLAB software are used.
